Oil paintings of people.
Creating an oil painting initially involves me constructing a wooden framework and stretching linen or canvas over it. I then apply several preparatory coats of sealant and primer, before building up painted layers of translucent oils over several weeks. This is a method that was used by 'Old Masters' to give an illusion of depth to the final painting.
Paintings which are available to purchase are shown at the beginning of this gallery.
These paintings may also give ideas for commissions. Please contact for details.
